SCHOLARSHIPS Postgraduates

2018 Windle Trust International Postgraduate Scholarships for Africans to study in UK

Deadline: March 31, 2018
About the Scholarship:

Since 1988 we have supported over 1,000 students through our scholarships, around 600 students at postgraduate level and over 400 on undergraduate courses. In partnership with universities and various donors we provide scholarship opportunities to conflict affected students from Eastern and Central Africa at universities and colleges in the UK and Sudan.
We carefully select candidates of particular merit taking in to account not only academic ability but financial need, social disadvantage and those who have the potential and willingness to put their skills to use for the positive development of their communities.

Eligible Countries
We aim to enhance the knowledge, professional skills and capacity of refugees and others affected by conflict in South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda and Kenya, to be effective leaders and contribute to development in the communities in which they work in Africa. Many of those that we have supported are working in the public or private sectors, including international and national Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) as managers or practitioners in a wide range of sectors such as health, education, engineering, computing, communications, architecture and agriculture.
