The place of purpose in career
Purpose is a plan set to be achieved
I am seeing vision from our definition
It is like we want to keep it short and simple
Purpose means what you have been destined to become in life.
Purpose: Reason and intent / intention
Now from the definition above, we all agree that purpose must exist before career?
Well for me purpose is knowing why a thing should be done BEFORE it is done,
......but let us be sincere how many of us actually and sincerely choose the career path that we find ourselves.
Well from the definition above I want you to know that it is totally different.
That is what the first person definition means is different from the second person.
I see career as what a person does to earn a living
We should also kindly take note that career is different from ambition and it is also different from purpose … Although it looks alike
Before I proceed I would want us to look at three concepts given to us from the topic...

Place: This can be said to be a location
....but for the purpose of this teaching I would want to define place as a stand point, an affirmation and a hold

From this definition above we can deduce that what you do whether you like it or not is your career as long as that career can pay the bills.
To be sincere with you that where most of us find ourselves in the world today
That's why a person who really Yoruba education will be working in bank and the person don’t mind at all
This definition of career is also correct because if I choose to be a teacher and I am now a teacher it means I have a career.
Therefore if we are to back to our topic of discussion we need to know that you must have a purpose why you do what you do at your place of work.
Yes, you can't discover purpose outside the creator.
In fact to be sincere if you don't have a relationship with the creator you are living a life of a circle no beginning, no end.

Nuggets of having a purposeful career
Now for people like me who don't really like what I do but just have to do it for the main time please pay attention to me.
For those who are enjoying what they do I congratulate you.
Before choosing a career you must first identify.
1) Your place of strength
2) Your place of interest
3) Understand the difference between the two
Place of strength:
This is a point at which you can do anything even if you don't get paid for it.
It is a point where you don't struggle with anything.
It is a point where what you do gives you joy.
It is a place you can die for...
It is a place where you will remain sleepless and restless till you attain perfection.
Place of Interest:
It is a place where you just like that thing at the surface level but you don't have that capacity to carry on it.
Therefore understanding the difference between what you can die for and what you can't die for and sticking to it is what makes you wise.
Therefore the question is ...
Can you continue that career of you are no longer being paid?
I have told some people before and I am saying it now.
No job can meet your needs 100%
Therefore I will send a video after this teaching foe us to decide if we will continue in what we are doing or not.
If the purpose while you are working is just to make money...
I am not sorry to tell you this, you are doing yourself more harm than good.
Even if you don't like the career enjoy the job.
Learn something new from it on daily basis.
For my fellow Christians and Muslims we have a belief that where we are is a preparation for where we are going to.
Make the best of everything you are doing there.
If we centralized on understanding the purpose before going for a job we might age and not be useful again.
While you are on the career that you don't like start making plans to move ahead and discover careers that you like.
Build yourself while you are still in search of the career.
Get a mentor on that field.
Do underground survey.
And know how you can easily divert to your dream job.

What is the difference between Occupation, Profession and Job?
ANSWER:
Occupation: This is defined as what you are presently doing to keep yourself busy.
This may yield or not yield any financial gain.
A graduate who has decided to learn bead making is occupied with that till further notice.
Therefore it is what an individual do either constructively or otherwise to keep himself/ herself busy.
Profession: This is what you have DECIDED to make out of your life.
This is what you have taken time to build on and become perfect on it.
Profession: is a self building outcome that ought to bring satisfaction and contentment to man
Job: This is what you engage in that gives you income. The income can be cash or kind
QUESTION:
What if one finds himself in a two contrasting but equal place of strength?
Should one leave one for the other? Decide based on opportunity? Or think of how to merge both?
ANSWER:
Permit me to give you an answer based on experience.
I started my life journey as an accountant during my OND days but to proceed to the university I was given ‘HER THINGS’ course so I went ahead to do it, in 200 level I know I still have passion for accounting so I started I can. While also in school i did over 4 professional examinations in accordance to HR in fact to be sincere with you I am not a qualified HR but also a licensed and I am yet to finish my ICAN.
Now in the HR world a new discovery happened from the beginning of this year and it is called *HR Accounting*.
Please don't forget that HR jobs in the labour market are becoming so scarce and unavailable.
